A long way from home – Taking good care of international students

The student experience is a key element of success for international education. While life in school is a key part of why students enrol in our schools, some experts suggest that life outside of school plays and even bigger role in how well international students cope with living and learning in a foreign country and away from parents. Schools hosting international students take on a 24/7 duty of care for these students and the new Code is very clear on pastoral care responsibilities for schools. This session will look at important considerations for international student care and welfare and explore ways that schools can ensure a high quality student experience.
