Middle Leaders Matter - effective middle leadership development and appraisal

Middle leaders play a key role in schools, carrying out a number of tasks, including pedagogical leadership, staff development, appraisal, and building collaborative teaching teams. Although the role of middle leaders is rewarding, it is perceived as both challenging and demanding.

In order for middle leaders to feel valued and empowered, they require effective leadership development and quality appraisal. This workshop will be grounded in current research, and aims to provoke middle and senior leaders who seek to ensure their middle leaders matter.
