The College Housed in the historic building in central The College has a commitment to treat students as young adults. They are accepted as individuals with an awareness of their rights and their esponsibilities, enjoying a uniquely personal relationship with their teachers as they prepare for later success. It is this mingling of mutual trust and respect with a sense of personal responsibility for study and learning that makes Staff Each teacher is a highly-qualified, professional educator who is committed to bringing the vision of the College into reality in the classroom. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive, and it provides the stimulus needed to inspire enquiry, achievement and academic success. Teaching is personalised and one-to-one tutor/student partnerships are a special hallmark. Our approach is to ensure that the time spent at the College is structured to fit the talents, needs and ambitions of each student. Accordingly, tutors oversee each student's progress and offer support and academic counselling. Regular meetings between these "partners in learning" allow advice to be given on work and skills development, with our aim always being to produce the highest level of personal excellence and enjoyment. Special Features From its beginning as Effective use of time is the key. Class periods at the College are longer than at most secondary schools. This allows students and teachers to delve more deeply into subjects and issues together, while the extended day provides greater opportunities for undertaking personal study, research and discovery outside the class. Small class sizes are another advantage. With an average of about 16 students in each class, small group numbers ensure that the personal touch in education is possible. This enables all students to have the chance to participate fully in discussions, debate and other class-work. Students are able to gain personal assistance with their work both in the classroom and outside class times. The Curriculum The College prepares students for the Cambridge International Examinations ( New technologies and subjects that look to the future are an integral part of International students with a high level of English language expertise may enter
