At ACG Strathallan the focus is on educating students to be creative problem solvers, and developing as independent yet interdependent young people.

ACG Strathallan Preschool (children aged three months to five years) While childhood is a time for learning, growing and enjoying, the quality of early learning experiences can shape a child's future. The underlying emphasis at ACG Strathallan Preschool is on helping children acquire a variety of important skills, knowledge and attitudes that will affect their ability to learn, their personal development, their relationships and their future achievement. ACG Strathallan Preschool Centre encourages children to see learning as both enjoyable and useful, and it provides a strong foundation for future intellectual, social and physical development. There is a strong emphasis on oral language development and opportunities for thinking, problem solving and experimenting. The Centre offers a modern, stimulating and safe place to learning through well-equipped classrooms, pleasant outdoor areas and the creation of a lively and interesting environment. Aside from the academic curriculum, children are taught respect and value for the individual - this plays a major part in the ethos of the school. The primary school has specialist teachers in art, music and physical education, providing students with the opportunity to experience these skills to a much higher level, much earlier in their development. There is a premium placed on the value of academic work and every student is encouraged to strive to reach his or her potential. Central to the curriculum is a strong focus on literacy and numeracy, in order to prepare students for their secondary years and beyond. This learning will provide an important basis for future achievement. Attitudes and values that are deemed important are affirmed, while enjoyment and personal success are also central. Programmes are designed to challenge and to stimulate good learning and preparation for living and working in the 21st century. Effective use of technology is integrated into educational programmes at all levels. There is a focus on the individual and the educational achievement and progress of each student.
