Tel: 06 877 8138 Address: The School The latest addition to an already excellent complex of academic buildings, boarding accommodation, school library and science block is a new Technology and Music building with state of the art equipment and facilities. The school offers full, as well as weekly, boarding. The school aims to encourage good work habits, self-discipline, sportsmanship, unselfishness and the desire and determination to make progress. We aim to produce a good all-round boy prepared for senior schools and life. Classes are small. Discipline is firm and fair. Boys are kept busy and interested. Cheerfulness, curiosity, industry and decency are encouraged. Hereworth is "designed for boys". The Curriculum The curriculum is broad. It provides a sound base in all areas: academic, practical, physical, cultural and artistic and spiritual. Competition thrives but there is a family atmosphere. Standards are high at all levels. Remedial help is available. Scholarships to independent secondary schools have been won regularly. Sporting and Cultural Activities The Hereworth Boy 2009 Fees: (inclusive of GST, per term for 4 terms) Capital Levy $450 per annum payable monthly (10) Parents’ Association $8.75 per term Dayboy Boarding Experience $240 per annum payable monthly (10) All year 7 and 8 boys – 2 weeks per year Enrolment Fees $550 ($400 holding deposit refunded on first months account) Disbursements Items such as stationery, camps, sports subs are charged monthly as and when they occur Bus Service Termly – please contact school for more details Old Boys’ Association $128 All Year 7 and 8 boys Charged $16/term x 8 terms Family discount A discount of 10% off tuition and boarding fees is given for the 2nd and subsequent children of a family attending the school concurrently International Fees apply to all students without NZ citizenship, permanent residency or NZ business visa.
