Tel: 06 327 8049 Address: Foundation The School The school is small enough to create a close friendly atmosphere with most teaching staff living on site, but large enough to ensure full development of a boy in a challenging environment where excellence in every endeavour is the norm rather than the exception. The excellent facilities include a classroom and administration block (eight classrooms renovated in 1998 including a full computer network); an Arts and Technology Centre inclusive of a theatre, an art studio, a music suite, a computer laboratory, and a workshop technology room; a full-sized gymnasium; multiple sports fields; seven tennis courts; a solar-heated swimming pool; a renovated dormitory block; and seven staff houses. The Curriculum Sporting and Cultural Activities Boys have their confidence and competence developed in a wide range of outdoor pursuits; learning and building on the skills of cricket, tennis, rugby, soccer, hockey, badminton, table-tennis, indoor basketball, swimming, athletics, and many recreational activities. An extensive outdoor education programme is featured as are a host of extra-curricular activities where boys are introduced to a broad and varied set of experiences. Huntley teams compete in many sports, in many places, and at many levels, enjoying an enviable sporting record. Scholarship and Bursaries (a) Headmaster's Scholarships – These are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster and usually are awarded for all round ability in academics, sport, and music. (b) Assistance Bursaries – are granted to assist a boy to attend Huntley School who may not otherwise have the opportunity. These are funded from grants made from the school from private trusts.
