Tel: 07 957 8899 Address: Foundation The School A special feature of the school is the Tihoi Venture School which was set up by the Trustees and Mr A D Hart (past Headmaster) in 1979. Year10 boys spend six months at Tihoi studying the core curriculum and being involved in outdoor pursuits. The school is divided into eight houses, three boys’ boarding and four day boy houses, as well as Harington boarding and day houses for the Year 12 and Year 13 girls. The school is set in 48 acres in suburban Hamilton and comprises modern classrooms, a computerised library, new student centre, impressive computer facilities, a modern chapel and all-weather sports surface. The school also owns a rowing shed on the Waikato River, a substantial forestry area at Honokiwi and 30 acres of the former mining town at Tihoi.
