Feedback from past delegates included:

I really liked the format. I was able to hear and engage with all speakers and didn't have to choose between speakers. The length of presentations was perfect.

Thanks for a fantastic conference. Really impressive and I learnt lots. The organisation was superb, very professional, food was great, staff helpful. All speakers were great.

Thoroughly enjoyed the conference and have already had worthwhile conversations with work colleagues about information from presentations. Thank-you. I would strongly recommend Conferenz conferences.

I came away feeling it had been really worthwhile use of my time and with several avenues to follow up on. Many thanks.

Building, Designing and Maintaining Modern Schools and Facilities

In December 2019, Jacinda Ardern announced $400m into schools for a much need infrastructure upgrade. On a bigger scale, it was earlier announced that New Zealand’s education sector would undergo a massive transformation when it comes to school infrastructure. The Government had promised a 10-year investment of $1.2 billion dollars to this effect. The Government is taking notice and coming forward to help schools improve and maintain their infrastructure in order to provide the best education for the children.

The one-day conference has been designed to bring together the stakeholders involved in such projects to share insights on the proposed plan and provide guidance on the role each involved party plays in achieving the best outcome for the school and its students. Furthermore, with some schools undergoing refurb projects whilst others a new rebuild, the conference will also delve into topics that discuss pedagogy in new and modern environments.

Themes explored during the day:

  • Laying the foundation: The drive behind the infrastructure upgrade at schools across New Zealand
  • Case studies from new build and refurbished schools
  • Inspiration from Christchurch’s schools
