The benefits of education are wide and varied including the obvious personal benefits of career advancement, skill development, employment opportunities, social development in resilience and wellbeing, an appreciation of social responsibility, global citizenship, diversity, and inclusion, to name just a few.
However, as we know, the benefits of education extend way beyond personal, social, and academic achievement. Our schools, in being Here for the Good, play a pivotal part in shaping society. Access to education is known to reduce poverty and crime, support economic stability, and enhance civic involvement. Our schools provide the perfect platform for developing an awareness of critical global issues such as environmental sustainability and climate change, cultural competency, equality, and diversity.
So…how are our schools performing? Is there more we could be doing? With increasing economic uncertainty how are we positioned to continue to provide educational benefits? The ISNZ Annual Conference shall draw on our expert speakers to challenge you to consider how schools can do more to support the communities they serve and to actively participate to shape society for the betterment of future generations.
Join us at the ISNZ 2023 Annual Conference to learn and share how we can make a greater contribution to the lives of others and unlock the global potential of New Zealand's next generation.
