We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised, and resilient Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and scheduling of our vibrant performing arts facilities, including the Auditorium and Dove Theatre.

In this pivotal role, you will support the seamless execution of school events, theatrical productions, and external hires. You will collaborate closely with executive leaders, performance directors, faculty, students, and external stakeholders, providing technical AV guidance, managing event administration, and leading staff and contractors to deliver exceptional event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Venue & Event Management: Manage bookings and day-to-day operations for the Auditorium and Dove Theatre in harmony with the school timetable.
  • Stakeholder & Production Support: Work alongside production managers, teachers, and event organisers to provide pre-event planning, technical support, and operational guidance within the theatres and event spaces school wide.
  • Contractor & People Leadership: Lead and manage contractors and support staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.
  • Financial & Asset Management: Prepare and manage annual operational and capital expenditure budgets; oversee equipment maintenance and long-term replacement plans.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for productions, ensure emergency management procedures meet regulatory standards, and maintain a safe environment for all facility users.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience & Expertise: A background in theatre, performing arts, or venue management, with demonstrated experience in facility scheduling and event coordination.
  • Technical & Administrative Savvy: Competence in administrative systems (including Google Suite and MS PowerPoint) and technical theatre/AV operations. An understanding of networking and current performance technical systems.
  • Outstanding Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build positive relationships across a diverse community (students, staff, parents, and external hirers) and handle complex or conflicting priorities with calm, diplomatic conflict-resolution skills.
  • Organisational Excellence: Strong initiative, superior time management, problem-solving skills, and the resilience to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment.
  • Vetting Requirements: A satisfactory National Police Vetting check.
