Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated regional digital platforms manager to support and enhance our digital learning environment across the region. This role can be based at a number of our campuses across New Zealand. Please state your preferred location in your cover letter.

This role is responsible for the administration, integration, and ongoing optimisation of key digital learning and administrative platforms used across OSGNZ.

You will oversee systems including Canvas (LMS), Edge (SMS), and a range of integrated teaching and learning tools such as Panopto, Zoom, and Microsoft platforms. Working closely with teaching staff, IT teams, and global digital learning colleagues, you will ensure platforms are well managed, fit for purpose, and aligned with global governance guidelines.

In addition, this role includes a 0.6 FTE teaching component. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified secondary teacher with experience teaching the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA. Teaching capability in commerce, English, or science is preferred, however teachers from other subject areas will also be considered. Remuneration includes a base salary in line with your salary step, plus an additional leadership allowance.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the regional Canvas instance, including course creation and enrolments
  • Respond to platform support requests from staff
  • Assist with data extraction, reporting, and user training
  • Collaborate on the selection, implementation, and review of digital tools
  • Maintain a database of approved software in collaboration with the global digital learning team
