About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Science Laboratory Technician who wants to have a meaningful impact on student learning in science. The role is to support our teachers in delivering Science learning across our Boys' School, but also across our Girls' School as well.

This permanent position is for 17.5 hours per week over a minimum of four days per week (Monday-Friday) during term time only.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of resources and equipment for student laboratory work
  • Management and maintenance of resources and equipment
  • Ensuring Health & Safety obligations are adhered to  

Key skills and experience

  • Experience in handling and maintenance of primary school science equipment
  • A science qualification (desirable)
  • Current drivers license
  • An understanding of the resource requirements of a primary school science faculty
  • Knowledge of the Schools Laboratory Code of Practice as well as the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and high functioning team
  • A strong sense of initiative and well-developed organisational skills
