We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Economics to join our highly regarded Commerce faculty. The department has a strong reputation for academic success and offers engaging programmes across NCEA and the International Baccalaureate (IB). This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Economics and enjoys working with motivated students within a collaborative and supportive department.

About the role

The successful applicant will:

  • Teach Economics within the secondary school, including senior levels
  • Contribute to other Commerce programmes, such as Business Studies
  • Teach within programmes offered through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues within a supportive Commerce faculty
  • Develop engaging learning experiences that connect economic theory with real-world issues
  • Contribute to the wider life of the College, including co-curricular activities

About you
The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and be eligible for teacher registration in New Zealand
  • Have the ability to teach Economics across the secondary school, including senior levels
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Economics education
  • Be confident contributing to NCEA and/or International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes
  • Be collaborative and enjoy working within a supportive faculty environment
  • Demonstrate alignment with the College’s values and a commitment to holistic, inclusive and integrated education
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the College
