Available Positions


1.  Senior Coach

  • Focus: Responsible for leading our Senior A team throughout T4 & T1, while contributing to a consistent, progressive pathway across the senior programme. T1 is the key focus period, culminating in the NZ Secondary School Volleyball but with the potential to continue for future volleyball seasons.
  • Commitment: Mid-Aug - mid-March. Includes leading senior trials and selections, delivering 2 training sessions per week, coaching weekly matches, and attending at least 3 weekend tournaments alongside National Tournament Week in March.
  • International Opportunity: Preparing and potentially traveling with a developing senior squad to the biennial Australian National School Volleyball Championships (next tour Dec 27).

2. Junior Coach

  • Focus: Responsible for leading our Junior A team throughout T4 & T1, ensuring a seamless pathway into the senior ranks. T4 is a key development period, including coordinating junior trials and team selection.
  • Commitment: Mid-Aug - mid-March. Includes 2 training sessions per week, coaching weekly matches, and availability for at least 3 weekend tournaments plus Junior Tournament Week in Nov 26.

3. Beach Volleyball Coach

  • Focus: Developing players’ beach volleyball skills through sand-specific techniques, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning.
  • Commitment: Mid-Oct – mid-Dec (T4). Includes weekly training, National Championship prep, and tournament attendance mid-December.

Junior Player Developer (Year 7 & 8, Kiwisport Lead)

  • Focus: Introducing and developing foundational volleyball skills for Yr 7 & 8 students. This role also provides an excellent opportunity to mentor and support our senior student coaches who assist with the programme.
  • Commitment: Once a week for 1–2 hours during a 5–6 week block in T1 & T4.

Other Team Coaches

  • Focus: Introducing and developing foundational or more advanced volleyball skills to teams, as needed based on sign up.  
  • Commitment: One training session and one game per week during T1 & T4. Participation in weekend tournaments as needed.
