Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a friendly, organised, and passionate Archivist to join our Development team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll care for Dio’s archives and art collection, making sure our history is well looked after — and brought to life for students, staff, alumnae, and the wider community.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
- Look after our archival and art collections — both physical and digital.
- Keep things safe, organised, and easy to find (from artefacts to images).
- Share Dio’s stories through displays, events, and online platforms.
- Support teachers and students with heritage resources for learning.
- Build strong connections across our school, alumnae, and community.
Ngā pūkenga me whai | We’re looking for someone with
- Experience in archives, museums, galleries, or heritage collections.
- Great organisation skills and an eye for detail.
- Confidence using digital tools and databases.
- Strong communication skills — you can make history engaging!
- An understanding of tikanga and culturally respectful care of taonga.
- Relevant qualifications (or equivalent experience).
