Based in Albany, Kristin School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school with more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13. Our special character school was founded by parents more than 50 years ago. We seek an enthusiastic and engaging teacher of Dance in our Middle and Senior Schools, Years 7-13.  You will work with a dedicated team to develop your professional practice via a collaborative-based professional development programme. This role requires a commitment to the school’s co-curricular programme, leading key dance performance events and attending Camp Week on an annual basis.  

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake
This role requires:
• NZ Registered Teacher who is available from Term 2
• Experience teaching NCEA Levels 1–3 and NZ Scholarship Dance
• Experience teaching IB MYP and Diploma ideal, but not essential
• Passion for innovative student practices and caring for students as individuals
• Proven ability to lead a subject area, mentor staff, and drive curriculum development
• Experience managing budgets, resources, and department logistics
• Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
• Deep understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and current pedagogy in the Arts.
