Head of Campus and Business Operations

The Whanganui College Board are seeking a dynamic, future-focused Head of Campus and Business Operations (HOCBO) to lead all non-academic functions across Whanganui Collegiate School and St George’s School and their shared campus. About the Role
Reporting to the College Board of Trustees, the HOCBO is a key executive responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across a broad portfolio that includes:
• Financial governance and business development
• Campus facilities and property management
• ICT and risk oversight
• Health and safety leadership
• Shared services and people management
• Governance support and legal stewardship
You will be a trusted advisor to the Boards, the Headmasters and wider stakeholders, playing a pivotal role in delivering sustainable outcomes and ensuring the ongoing success of both schools. You will also foster the Anglican special character and uphold the values that define our schools.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced, values-driven professional with:
• Proven senior leadership experience in business operations, preferably in complex environments
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including capital project planning and oversight
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated capability in governance reporting, risk management, and health and safety
• A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, facilities management, or a related field
• Alignment with the Christian values and Anglican ethos of the schools
