We are seeking a Kaiako to join Te Whare Huia, the Māori Faculty at Diocesan. Currently there are five Kaiako that teach across the Junior and Senior School. You will be joining a passionate team of people who aspire to deliver a quality learning experience for our students.

This is 12-month fixed term contract starting at the beginning of the academic year, January 2026.
The successful applicant will have the ability to teach Te Reo Māori and Mātauranga Māori in the Senior School, Year 7-13. For a suitably experienced candidate, an additional position of responsibility may be discussed.

In addition, they will need to be:

• Passionate about teaching young women
• Committed to ensuring a friendly and supportive environment for learning in keeping within the character of the school
• Able to start Term 1, 2026

E uru mai ana koe ki tētahi roopu e kaingākau ana, e hiahia ana ki te kawe i ngā tikanga ki a mātou ākonga hei eke rātou ki ngā taumata teitei.

Ko te kaitono angitu ki tēnei tūranga, māna e whakaako i Te Reo Māori me te Mātauranga Māori ki ngā ākonga o te kura tuakana, Tau 7-13.

• Ngākaunui ana ki te whakaako i ngā kōhine
• E pūmau ana ki te whakaritea he wāhi noho haumaru kia rite ai ki ngā momo ahuatanga o te kura
• Ka taea e ia te tīmata i te wāhanga tuatahi o te tau 2026
