Te Tūranga | The role

We are seeking a passionate and organised Sports Coordinator to work in our sports department and contribute to the development and delivery of the College’s extracurricular sports programme.

The Sports Coordinator will have the opportunity to lead and support our Years 1–8 sports and active recreation programmes and foster a vibrant and inclusive sports culture that reflects the College’s values. You’ll work with the Director of Sport, students, staff, and the wider College community to deliver high-quality sporting experiences that promote participation, leadership, and wellbeing.

This is a full time role with flexibility in hours to accommodate attendance at sporting events.

Ngā haepapa | The responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver inclusive sports programmes aligned with College values
  • Coordinate team selection, student leadership, and community engagement
  • Manage logistics including team entries, uniforms, equipment, and event planning
  • Support coaches, managers, and officials with training and recognition
  • Ensure facilities are well maintained and budgets are managed effectively
  • Uphold health and safety standards across all sporting activities
  • Maintain a visible and supportive presence at events and competitions

    You will bring:
  • Proven experience in sports leadership and coordination across multiple codes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Skills in event planning, budget management, and digital administration
  • A proactive, passionate approach to youth sport and continuous improvement
