Cultivating Future Innovators - A glimpse into the world of architecture & design

Cultivating Future Innovators

Help your students envision their potential. Warren and Mahoney offers an immersive experience, connecting classroom learning with the exciting realities of architecture, and demonstrating our dedication to creating environments that inspire growth.

At Warren and Mahoney, we've had the privilege of hosting numerous Year 12 and 13 DVC students in our studio over the past few years. These sessions are designed to be more than just a visit; they're an exploration of the architectural and design professions, from the foundational experiences of our graduates at school and university to their current roles within our practice.

Students will delve into topics such as the evolving landscape of digital design, the importance of indigenous engagement in our work, and our commitment to sustainable design practices. We bring architectural concepts to life through tangible examples of projects that are either currently under construction or have recently been completed, providing a rich, practical context for their studies.

With Warren and Mahoney studios located across New Zealand in Auckland, Christchurch, Tauranga, Queenstown, and Wellington, we are uniquely positioned to offer guided architectural walking tours in many of these cities. This provides a fantastic opportunity for students to observe award-winning Warren and Mahoney buildings firsthand, right in their local communities, showcasing exceptional design in action.

Typically, these engaging sessions last between 105 and 120 minutes and involve both senior and graduate architects as guides. We are always keen to customise the presentation topics to align with your school's curriculum and your students' specific interests.

“This experience gave our students vision into the working world outside of College and certainly awoken even more interest into the world of architecture. No doubt some of them will apply for internships at WAM one day! I think this is such an amazing initiative and having worked both in industry and education in New Zealand, I can assure you this is considered an invaluable experience for any student.”
