We are excited to introduce our 2026 Professional Learning and Development (PLD) programme. We’ve increased our networking events, After 5, Assistant and Deputy Principal, and Board Chair Forums to give members more opportunity to connect and collaborate. We will continue to support our current and next generation of leaders through quality workshops, such as the Leadership for Middle Leaders, New and Aspiring Principals, and the Heads’ Circle. Our flagship Conference and two-day Teacher Symposium will return, and we will be introducing the ISNZ Study Tour, a full-day programme in which you can visit other schools to learn about their particular area of specialisation and expertise. We will continue to serve our specialist networks with one-day seminars for those in Human Resources, Pastoral Care, Health and Safety, and Administration. We look forward to seeing you at our PLD events in 2026. Register now!
2026 ISNZ PLD Programme
We are delighted to unveil the 2026 Professional Learning and Development (PLD) Programme, designed to empower, connect, and inspire our members throughout the year. Building on the success of previous years, we’ve expanded our offerings to ensure every member—whether a teacher, leader, or executive—has access to meaningful opportunities for growth and collaboration.
More Networking, More Connection
We know that strong professional networks are essential for sharing ideas and best practices. That’s why we’ve increased the number of networking events in 2026.Our After 5 gatherings, Assistant and Deputy Principal Forums, and Board Chair Forums will provide even more chances to connect with peers, exchange insights, and build relationships that strengthen our community. These events are designed to foster collaboration and create spaces where innovative ideas can flourish.
Supporting Leaders at Every Stage
Leadership development remains at the heart of our PLD programme. In 2026, we will continue to support both current and aspiring leaders through a range of high-quality workshops. Highlights include:
- Leadership for Middle Leaders – Equip emerging leaders with the skills and confidence to lead effectively within their schools.
- New and Aspiring Principals – A tailored programme for those stepping into principalship, offering practical strategies and peer support.
- Primary Principals’ Forum – For Principals in Year 0-8 schools, whether stand-alone primary schools, or those that are part of a Y1-13 composite school.
- Heads’ Circle – A collaborative space for experienced leaders to share challenges, solutions, and forward-thinking approaches.
These sessions are designed to strengthen leadership capability across our sector, ensuring that our member schools continue to thrive.
Teacher Symposium
Our two-day Teacher Symposium flagship event brings together educators from across the country to explore innovative teaching practices, share research, and engage in workshops. It’s an unmissable opportunity for teachers to refresh their practice, gain new perspectives, and connect with colleagues who share their passion for education.
