Job Description

With a national and international reputation for excellence, Scots College is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian heritage.  As a fully co-educational IB World School, we provide our students with an excellent holistic education, aiming to create global citizens who think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively, and develop the necessary skills to Learn. For life.

Scots is a dual pathway school offering both NCEA and IB Diploma to senior students.  At Y11 we offer the Tohu, a tailor made, future focused award, and at Y7-10 the Middle Years Programme.  Experience teaching MYP would be advantageous, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Applicants must:

• hold suitable teaching qualifications which have allowed them to obtain registration and a current practicing certificate from the Teaching Council NZ

• be progressive, forward thinking, and innovative in their teaching

• possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills

• demonstrate a passion for education so that students thrive

• contribute to and support new ideas and focused change

• inspire, manage, and motivate young people, and support student wellbeing

• show commitment to our special character and co-curricular programmes.

If you are motivated by the prospect of a dynamic teaching environment and would enjoy the challenges of this role, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
